Format Changes in the APN

Welcome to issue 225 of APN. With this issue your webmaster has changed the format of the Aida Parker Newsletter. After several issues using the same letter type as the printed issues it became apparent that the print type that you are reading right now (Corel Palomar, MS Book Antiqua) of the printed issue is rather demanding on the eyes when viewed on a computer monitor. So, in order to make the reading a little easier the ARIAL font will be used. Alternatives are Helvetica Verdana, Tahoma and Sans-Serif.

The print in the articles will look like that in the second column:

This is the new APN font for use on the World Wide Web. The point size has been reduced for efficiency.

The other change is in the page length. From this issue onward, every article will be self contained in one html file instead of spread out over 3 or more. This change allows readers to download the entire article as a single file instead of little pieces. It also keeps the linking overhead to a minimum. As usual APN is designed to be viewed on a 800 X 600 resolution monitor. The overwhelming majority of computer users have a video card that supports this resolution.

If you are not sure whether your computer supports 800 X 600 resolution or better, or if you'd like to set it to this, please read the instructions.

On behalf of Aida and the APN staff I'd like to thank you for visiting our web pages.

Enough already, I want my monthly fix...
