CLINTON, THE TOUCH OF DEATH

"WHAT luck for rulers that men do not think."- Adolph Hitler.

In their recent mid-term elections, US voters once again proved Hitler right. Even at their slimiest, surely no other politician anywhere, any time, has suffered such prodigious global humiliation as has Bill Clinton, that trouser-dropping buffoon who has demeaned his country, made it a world laughing stock. Yet, despite all the indignity of his antics, all the fibs and fornication, voters gave this Artful Dodger a stunning vote of confidence.

A majority of US voters, it appears, view Clinton - world leader of the dirty raincoat brigade - as their best shot as president, the guy they want as leader of the free world. Above all, they do not want him to resign or be impeached. Can anyone explain that? Is it because they regard the whole dreaded Monica debacle, the lurid, kinky sex and the perjury under oath, as a piffling matter, unworthy of their concern? The irony here is that Lewinsky is the least serious of the many indictments that can be laid at Clinton’s door.

Monica apart, there are mountains of other material suggesting that this mendacious sleazeball should never have been allowed within a dozen miles of the White House. If US voters are not interested in Presidential hanky panky and perjury, how does suspicion of his involvement in multiple murders grab them? In recent weeks APN has been swamped with faxes from US subscribers indicating that since the Clintons entered public life, there have been an inordinate number of mysterious deaths associated with them.

This is not just idle gossip. The facts are there. In 1994 Congressman William E Dannemeyer (Republican, California) wrote to leaders of both the Senate and the House, with copies going to all members of both Houses of Congress. In his letter he drew their attention to "… the number of people who have died, of other than natural causes, who held a connection with President Bill Clinton."

He stated that it "has reached a total that can only be described as frightening." The 1994 letter listed 24 dead Clinton associates. By 1998 the figure had risen to more than 50. Deaths as a result of gun shots to the head, helicopter crashes, falling off high rise buildings, aircraft crashes, motor crashes, "suicides" or "unknown causes." Dannemeyer’s demand for Congressional hearings went unanswered and unheeded.

But the lists provided are long: and horrific. The following is a partial tally of people who have died in suspicious circumstances and with some connection with the Clintons:

MOST RECENT: July 7, 1997, homicide of former female intern in the Clinton White House, Mary Mahoney, 25. She and two co-workers at Starbucks restaurant in Washington’s posh Georgetown were murdered execution-style, according to a police report published in The Washington Post. Georgetown is a very safe enclave of Washington: none of the city’s 397 murders last year occurred in or near that part of the capital.

Even more strange, the doors of Starbucks were locked from the inside; more than $5 400 was found on the premises and Mahoney had been shot five times. The deaths occurred at the height of the pre-trial publicity surrounding the Paula Jones lawsuit, and only days after Newsweek’s Michael Isikoff wrote that "a former White House staffer was about to go public with her story of sexual harassment at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue." Still unidentified gunmen entered Starbucks while the staff was cleaning up after closing time. Isikoff’s "former White House staffer" has never materialised. Was beautiful Mary Mahoney the staffer Isikoff had in mind?

MOST FAMOUS: Vincent Foster, Clinton’s boyhood friend, with Hillary a partner in the Rose Law firm in Little Rock and then appointed Clinton’s White House Deputy Counsel. Died 21.7.93, having allegedly shot himself in the mouth at an obscure Washington park. Though this was America’s most important official death investigation since the Kennedy assassination, the police investigation proved incredibly slapdash.

Initial reports indicated there was very little blood on the scene, no gun powder residue in his mouth or on his face, no broken teeth or damaged lips. It was claimed that the mysteriously small amount of blood on the front of his body was "attributable to the almost instantaneous stopping of his heart," a highly dubious conclusion according to leading pathologists.

Then there was the strange position of the gun, an antique Colt, found in Foster’s right hand. He was left handed. The gun was still in Foster’s hand: highly unlikely due to natural reflexes and recoil of gun. Foster chose for his "suicide" a small, suburban park he had never been known to visit before. He ostensibly walked 600 feet through a wooded area without getting a trace of soil on his shoes and clothing. His body was found with arms neatly at his sides, "as if ready for the coffin."

Despite such a preponderance of discrepancies and inconsistencies in the police and pathology reports, death ruled a "routine suicide," this before any autopsy or ballistics tests were performed. Film of the crime scene "accidentally ruined during developing." Surviving Polaroid photos don’t match location where body was supposedly found. Members of Clinton’s staff ransacked Foster’s office the night he died, removing all Whitewater and other files.

How did Foster really die? Who will ever know? A devoted family man with three children, Foster left no suicide note, bade no final goodbyes, made no final arrangements. General assessment: An "out-and-out cover-up" and a blatant obstruction of justice. Someone "re-arranged the crime scene." The suggestion is that the gun was placed in Foster’s hand, that the entire death scene was staged. No bullet ever found. Foster’s alleged suicide note gave every appearance of being a political forgery.
